We’ve got some big last-minute news. There is a mile race going on in Longmont, Colorado tonight (Friday, May 12th) that could make history. And HOKA NAZ Elite will be there! The St. Vrain Invite, one of the most competitive high school track meets in Colorado, does a very cool thing and hosts a select number of professional races in addition to its regular schedule. The young athletes are able to mingle with the pros and compete on the same track on the same night. And you can bet they’ll be screaming as the men’s mile tries to produce the first human being ever to break four minutes in the State of Colorado.

Martin Hehir and Futsum Zienasellassie will be competing for us against a field that includes 3:54 miler Cristian Soratos, among others. The current Colorado State Record of 4:01.27 was set by Tabor Stevens in 2015 at the La Junta Relays. If tonight’s winner breaks that record but does not break four he’ll receive a hefty prize check of $7,000. If the winner does indeed go under four though, he’ll walk away with a whopping $17,000!!

The race will be show LIVE on the St. Vrain Invite YouTube Channel HERE at 6:20pm Pacific Time.
