Aliphine Tuliamuk and Stephanie Bruce to race AJC Peachtree 10k Road Race

FLAGSTAFF, (AZ) – JULY 2, 2018 – The women of HOKA ONE ONE NAZ Elite will be back in action on the Fourth of July as Stephanie Bruce and Aliphine Tuliamuk are set to battle a strong field at the AJC Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta, GA. The race will also serve as the 2018 USATF 10k National Championships.

Tuliamuk returns to Atlanta as the reigning U.S. and Peachtree champion. She will look to continue her dominance on the road circuit, having already won both the USATF Half Marathon and 25k Championships earlier this year. She followed up those performances with a second-place finish at the NYRR Mini 10k behind three-time TCS NYC Marathon Champion, Mary Keitany. For Bruce, she is fresh off of a third-place finish in the 10,000 meters at the USATF Outdoor Championships and a seventh place finish in New York.

“I’m very excited to be returning to Atlanta to defend my title. The race is definitely going to be an interesting and competitive one because of the great field. Sharing the pain and fun of racing with my teammate Stephanie is exciting,” said Tuliamuk.

The duo will will face a strong field of American women that includes 2016 Olympic Triathlon Champion Gwen Jorgensen, as well as Sara Hall, Molly Seidel and Allie Kieffer, who finished fifth at the 2018 TCS New York City Marathon.

“We are excited to have Steph and Aliphine at the same race again, especially now that both of them are really firing on all cylinders,” said HOKA NAZ Elite coach Ben Rosario. “They have done a couple of things together that were Peachtree specific and I think they will be well prepared for the course and the conditions.”
