Danielle was born and raised in Torrance, California. The oldest of three children, she attended Bishop Montgomery High School before going on to run collegiately at Loyola Marymount University.

Danielle began her post-collegiate career in the spring of 2018 while still finishing her masters degree. She promptly set personal bests at 10,000 meters (32:55.04), 5,000 meters (15:37.27) and 1500 meters (4:16.36) before competing at the USATF Outdoor Championships in Des Moines, Iowa–her first race as an official member of HOKA NAZ Elite. In the fall she was seventh in her professional road race debut at the Great Cow Harbor 10k. She followed that up with a 13th place finish at the USATF 5k Road Championships in New York City. In January, 2019 she was selected to compete for Team USA in her first international competition–the Great Edinburgh Cross Country Meet. She kicked off her outdoor season with a win at the Baldy Castillo 1500 and then smashed her 10,000 meter personal best with a 32:22.59 at the Stanford Invitational. She ran her second-fastest 5,000 meters with a 15:38.18 at the Adrian Martinez Classic in June. She competed in both the 10,000 and the 5,000 at the 2019 USATF Outdoor Championships, finishing in the top 15 in each event. She finished her year with a personal best over 5,000 meters at the Boston University Season Opener in 15:26.91 and a 5th place finish at the USATF Club Cross Country Championships a week later.

In 2020, she finished 6th at the USATF Cross Country Championships in January to qualify for the Pan Am Champs a month later. She kicked her fall off by running the 5k anchor leg on HOKA NAZ Elite’s winning team at the Michigan Pro Ekiden and finished it off with a huge breakthrough at the Track Meet where she ran 31:22.86 for 10,000 meters to finish seventh and earn an Olympic Standard. Her first race of 2021 was a 15:17.62 for 5,000 meters to finish seventh at the Sound Running Invite.

At Loyola Marymount, under the tutelage of Coach Scott Guerrero, Danielle ran personal bests of 4:17.83 for 1500 meters, 15:50.77 for 5,000 meters and finished 43rd at the 2017 NCAA Cross Country Championships.
