Adrian joined HOKA NAZ Elite in the summer of 2022 after an outstanding collegiate career at Coastal Carolina University and then Florida State University. His career as a pro could not have gone much better thus far. In the spring/summer of 2023 he set personal bests and South African national records at 3,000 meters (7:39.25), 5,0000 meters (13:02.46) and 10,000 meters (27:23.10). He ended his track season with a 14th-place finish at the World Championships over 10,000 meters. In the fall he won the Peace Run 10k in South Africa in a team 10k road record of 27:53 and led HOKA NAZ Elite to victory at the Cross Champs in Austin by winning the individual title. Adrian has raced twice so far this year–winning the BU Terrier Classic 5,000 meters in January in a blazing 12:56.76–another South African national record and the second-fastest indoor 5,000 in the world in 2024. In March he finished sixth over 10,000 meters at The TEN in 26:55.54–a huge personal best, a national record and an automatic qualifier for the 2024 Olympic Games. Adrian will race later this month at the South African national championships in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.
