HOKA NAZ ELITE ANNOUNCES FALL MARATHON DOCUMENTARY: One Eighty Three Point Four
ROLL Recovery is the presenting sponsor for the three-episode series
FLAGSTAFF (AZ) – August 1, 2017 – HOKA ONE ONE Northern Arizona Elite has announced a new documentary series, One Eighty Three Point Four, featuring seven of its athletes who will all be running marathons this fall. Videographer Sarah Cotton will produce the series, focused on giving fans an inside look at the physical and emotional commitment as well as the pressure that running a marathon at the professional level requires. ROLL Recovery, an industry leader in recovery tools for athletes, will sponsor the project.
The seven athletes include Aaron Braun, Ben Bruce, Stephanie Bruce, Scott Fauble, Matt Llano, Scott Smith and Kellyn Taylor. Braun has already been announced as one of the top Americans who will compete October 8 at this year’s Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Fauble, Llano and Smith will all race the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon on October 29. Announcements about which races the other three athletes will be competing in will happen later this month and will be featured in the documentary and on social media.
ROLL Recovery co-founder Jeremy Nelson said sponsoring the series aligned perfectly with her company’s vision.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with the HOKA NAZ Elite team and Sarah Cotton for the One Eighty Three Point Four project,” Nelson said. “Getting a glimpse inside what it takes to train at the world-class level and the physical and mental strain these athletes will endure inspires us all. HOKA NAZ Elite is one of the toughest, hardest working and talented marathon groups in the nation and we are extremely excited to be part of their journey.”
Cotton said the HOKA NAZ Elite team embodies the intention of attacking one goal in solidarity while bringing different personalities and approaches to the table.
“What makes this team so interesting to me is the collective motivation of the group, juxtaposed with the unique stories and modus operandi of each athlete,” Cotton said. “I think that the marathon process will unfold very differently for each runner, highlighting the individuality that others might not realize every long-distance runner possesses.”
Cotton has already released the trailer for the series on the project website (oneeightythreepointfour.com). She will provide a continuous and comprehensive look at the athletes’ lives and training regimens via Instagram (@oneeightythreepointfour) and via short videos before releasing the first full episode of the documentary in late September.
